AlwaysChange

I do know what’s

Coming like summer knows

Fall I do know

That after our days

Of heat and humidity

Comes the change it

Always comes always comes

The breeze turns cool

Then brisk and strong

Prompting sweaters and slacks

To cover our nakedness

And the summers wildflowers

With what were green

Now yellow red brown

Seasons always change they

Always change from ignition

And finally to takeoff

OurMorningHere

And in the morning

Coffee in hand I

Crawl back in beside

And watch as the

Morning sun creeps like

A caterpillar up sheets

And lands on lids

Which flutter like butterflies

Showing me your eyes

Sleepy and darkly rich

Deep brown satellites hovering

And focusing on me

And then on coffee

First comes the kiss

And then the sip

On this our morning

InLoveAndLife

And now we’re back

To being what we

Were before the explosion

Body parts recollected and

Pieced together perhaps better

Than before breakage seems

To make things stronger

For where once we

Were whole the thing

Which broke us apart

Now resolutely cements us

Together just like Cloisonné

In love and life

Voices

When we’re not talking

I fill that void

With our other conversations

It is as though

Ever since knowing you

Silence almost never visits

I am never alone

I may be the

Only person here physically

But like a medium

I hear your voice

Comforting reminding missing me

FirstYouThenThem

The love for yourself

Must always come first

You cannot give away

Something you don’t own

Try not to seek

Someone else to provide

That which you choose

Not to find yourself

For once they remove

It the void which

Was once something small

Has now become vast

Incapable of being quenched

Fill your cup first

And only from there

Can you serve others
