Throat

The throat
more than
just pillar
atop which
sits Venus
connects that
which I
tickle to
that which
I hold
and there
is where
I land
moist whispers
and like
a drawbridge
sometimes keeping
in and
sometimes letting
out allies
and adversaries

Pattern

One leg two
woven they are
together like threads
from different mills
one deeply dark
the other light
crisscrossing the loom
our bed is
at once atop
and then below
creating a pattern
this heavenly print
only ever seen
from high above
by the angels

Tea

I am
just sitting
here with
sadness having
a cup
of tea
with lemon
for there
is nothing
sweet about
having tea
with she

Pond

There are
some things
that I
want to
talk about
but their
mere thought
are boulders
dropping into
an otherwise
sanguine pond
disrupting even
those things
thought invincible
it’s best
me thinks
to be
the boulder
and let
it remain
where it
has landed
I pond
will recover

Fallen

I shall
stay over
here waiting
for awhile
at least
at least
until until
I’m gone
once left
green behind
I’m now
at the
mercy of
the wind
