Morning7-6

Big long yellow

School buses drive

Past me roaring

Like a pride

Of lions on

The Serengeti warning

Of their approach

As ant-like children

Climb aboard like

Business men off

To work last

Nights crickets still

Chirp as morning

Birds await their

Cues here today

Goodbyes

Oh

Oh I’m so

So so so

Tired of saying

Goodbye

I’m like a

Child that’s lost

A dog or

A teenager that’s

Been dumped by

A varsity quarterback

I’ve closed like

A woman’s compact

For the last

Time

Oh

Oh I’m so

Ready so

So so so

Ready for that

Sweetly delicious hello

Hello

Is anyone there

Cmere (for Will)

And just when

I felt the

Root give way

And I began

To plummet stories

Down a hand

Snatched me from

My doom calling

Here up here

It was the

Sound of hope

Calling softly Cmere

MorningEggs

Dawn rises slowly

Like the sleepy

Dreams tucked eyes

Of a child

Glowing the skies

Change from darkness

To orange like

Large fires stoked

Back to life

By sharp sticks

Morning comes slowly

Like eggs in

A skillet bubbling

Yellow white brown

SleepNow

And in the

Dark I sit

Waiting for the

World to awaken

You beside me

Still sleeping dreaming

What I wonder

Me awake wishing

You to stir

Like a spoon

In my coffee

But dare I

Not for you

Roar to life

Like a thundering

Chainsaw it’s best

To let you

Sleep like kittens
