DayBreak

I awoke early

To sit outside

And listen to

The world awaken

First came birdsongs

Then the stirring

Of critters snapping

Twigs car tire

Sounds on pavement

And at long

Last the sun

A quiet time

This morning as

Day starts sleepily

In my town

LikingAGuy (to Fred)

How do I

Remain cool so

As not to

Scare you off

I’m not a

Hunter stalking prey

Nor am I

A pointer rousing

Grouses but instead

Just a guy

Liking another guy

Secrets (for Fred)

And I held

It in never

Daring I thought

That he wouldn’t

Like me so

I turned and

Said excuse me

I love you

And all was

Good by then

SparklingWater (for Fred)

And there you

Were this tall

Glass of sparkling

Water that tickled

Me little bubbles

Popping on my

Nose making me

Laugh this freshness

That cleansed so

Many other meals

Making me forget

My heart full

Of heart ache

Your freshness made

Me believe that

A stranger could

Make me laugh

Again at last

RiverYouAre

I dip my

Hand into the

River you are

Feel your current

Feel your cold

Then lay languidly

On flat rocks

Sunning myself in

Your smile warming
