LoveSex

Sex is an expression

Whether it be noun

Or verb it identifies

Someone as something or

Carnal desire as action

Love is a color

An aura which surrounds

And beams which embraces

Or leaves like Autumn

Sex is the fall

Love is the orange

And yellow and red

Wanton

Pardon my ill manners

For I will gobble

And drink wantonly for

I am thirsty and

Hungry but not dying

I am not desperate

I wish to live

Gift

Too often I fear

My aloneness prompts speed

Which often appears as

Desperation but really all

It is is glee

For someone new occurs

To me like a

Wonderfully wrapped gift given

To a child who’s

Unused to being given

Presents where my humility

Overwhelms my own caution

And when I realize

That you’re really mine

I tear you open

MyLife

How I have chosen

To live my life

Tomorrow will be today

Today will be yesterday

Soon to be over

Only to be remembered

And never be relived

For living things once

Is all they deserve

ThicketFire

When I imagine love

I see a fire

In a dense thicket

Glowing and dancing drawing

Those near and far

To come and warm

Attracting all creatures closer

Closer shyly closer until

Each one finally understands

The why they’re here

At first it’s curiosity

And then it’s heat

And finally it’s comfort

Knowing that we’re all

The same and indeed

Seeking the same simple

Thing in the thicket
