Went to the beach
today novel chair
blanket
blue waves
breaking
apart dying
they foam white
My friend sits
in the sand novel
in lap saturated
with the sun
like acolytes
paying homage
I sat for hours
cats in windows
watching
Went to the beach

breaking
apart dying
they foam white
My friend sits
in the sand novel
in lap saturated
with the sun
like acolytes
paying homage
I sat for hours
cats in windows
watching
I saw the heavens
last night a jewelers
cloth diamond-dotted
reminiscing when
unbound to human
form we bobbed
about the Universe
a playground
skipping star to
star and planet to
planet like a childhood
game shooting stars
is what I call them
On each planet
we remain divine
childlike curious
playful there’s no
limitation distraction
feelings judgement
all existence is curiosity
I dreamed
of my soul
last night
it was downy
as ducklings
and had magnificent
wings like eagles
I dreamed
of my soul
like a bird
because when
I’m with my
soul I soar
high beyond
clouds higher
still to the
blackness
It’s in this
blackness
that I saw
heaven’s lint
dew drops of light
as far and beyond
My soul was drawn
to them children
to ice-cream it
traveled to each
drawn to some
my soul was the
bird hound of the
Universe
That first kiss
was kites in
wind gusts
when we
landed like an
air balloon
it was velvet
and suede
lips spreading
hungrily like
kitten to milk
opening oyster
our tongues
creep out cautiously
and land on each
otters rolling in kelp
Ah that first kiss
that delicious
first kiss
I remember
twilight
I’m in bed before
you you come to
bed after me
lifting the sheet
crawling in like
deli meat into
sandwiches
you sidle up
to me like a
magnet I smell
the soap from
your face fresh
like the ocean
your body is cool
to me like a mother’s
wash cloth
when we touch
arousal kissing and
loving Romeo
where have you
gone
