Hawk

Sitting outside a

Hawk sits perched

Eyeing me up

Magnificent and statuesque

It swings its

Head from side

To side my

Spirit animal I

Know knowing that

It knows me

As I do

It friends we

Are as close

As a balls

Throw this beauty

And I together

Learning each other

ArtThatYouAre

I may see

With my baby

Blues but my

Fingers have an

Eye of their

Own let them

Dance across the

Keys of your

Ribs into the

Pool of your

Tummy and the

Dimples of your

Cheeks and then

Let me paint

You with words

Replicating the art

That you are

For all the

World to read

NightTime

The night outside

Glows through the

Slats of window

Softly as though

My yard had

Been blanketed by

A midnight snowfall

Or like Venus

Hailing its moon

To cool my

Night in subtle

Shades of blue

And gray as

I recall that

One night in

Curitiba on the

Beach as low

Tide tickled the

Sandbar beneath your

Naked silhouette while

The Orange dawn

Broke yellow upon

Your brown skin

ReIgnition

No matter how

Often I close

The damper memories

Of you somehow

Trail down the

Flue of my

Mind reigniting the

Heartache of you

Catching embers that

Were so close

To being ash

Then erupting to

Full blaze and

Once again scorching

The new growth

That sprouted atop

What was once

You and I

Sleeping

One of my

Favorite things to

Do is watch

You sleep everything

Else is far

Away and you’re

Simply there smiling

And listening to

The heavens angels

Rest well my

Love I’ll see

You when you

Return to me
