I am not
A bee but
Rather a flower
Bees buzz about
Busily buzzing bouncing
Bobbing busy belonging
But a flower
A flower knows
What they are
Where they are
Who they are
And that is
Very very attractive
To those busy
Buzzing little bees
I am not
A bee but
Rather a flower
Bees buzz about
Busily buzzing bouncing
Bobbing busy belonging
But a flower
A flower knows
What they are
Where they are
Who they are
And that is
Very very attractive
To those busy
Buzzing little bees
Again at last
Again having found
Shade beneath the
Arms of friends
Not necessarily thirsty
Not even hungry
What I do
Miss most is
That one simple
Lingering kiss that
Pair of lips
That unlocks my
Heart like a
Key to a
Locket making me
Giddy and warm
And knowing that
All things are
Possible once again
Universe bring me
A boyfriend now
Standing in the
Doorway looking out
Wondering where your
Footprints went now
That they’re covered
By a fresh
Blanket of snow
All remains quiet
Except for the
Sound of winds
Creating drifts making
Me think that
You’re coming back
But all that
I get is
Cold that kind
Of cold that
Buried my heart
Right behind your
Now forgotten footprints
I have discovered
In my long
Life that people
Fall neatly into
Two distinct categories
Problems and solutions
Those that are
Problems attach and
Feed literally sucking
Ones goodness out
Until what’s left
Is either husks
Or other feeders
While those solutions
Behave like breezes
And mittens and
Blankets on chilly
Nights problems be
Gone I’m looking
Only for solutions
I remember a
Time long before
This one long
Before you were
You and I
Were I now
Two goslings paddling
About a placid
Pond in Wisconsin
Noticing a chill
A sound telling
Us to fly
My wings started
To flap going
Nowhere until I
Felt your push
From behind sending
Me skywards looking
Back I yelled
What about you
Worry not about
Me but fly
We’ll be together
Again in a
Different life when
We can at
Last walk together
