RoundVsSquare

Oh how I

Wish that we

All were more

Like snowflakes and

Leaves and flowers

Admired for their

Uniqueness and the

Joy that brings

But instead we’re

Human constantly forcing

Our round selves

Into square holes

If the world

Celebrated its roundness

Then it wouldn’t

Need square holes

Who made square

Holes anyway I’ll

Tell you a

Bunch of squares

ChristmasTime

It’s this special

Time of year

When the world

Regains its innocence

When stars sparkle

Brighter in colder

Skies when Heaven

Itself falls as

Light snow covering

Everything in white

Paradise when we’re

More interested in

Giving than receiving

This season where

Sounds and smells

Spark vivid memories

Of simpler times

And especially this

Year when again

The greatest gifts

Wrapped in coats

Scarves and mittens

Find their way

Into our arms

It’s Christmas time

OfHavingLoved

One of the

Hardest things in

Life that I’ve

Learned is that

Those that love

Often and loose

Are plagued by

The memories of

Those sweeter times

At first those

Memories cause gut

Wrenching pain but

As time passes

The torture moves

From my mind

To my heart

Where they sing

The joyous songs

Of having loved

Bringing great comfort

Friendship (to Muenster ❤️)

I remember a

Time long before

This one long

Before you were

You and I

Were I now

Two goslings paddling

About a placid

Pond in Wisconsin

Noticing a chill

A sound telling

Us to fly

My wings started

To flap going

Nowhere until I

Felt your push

From behind sending

Me skywards looking

Back I yelled

What about you

Worry not about

Me but fly

We’ll be together

Again in a

Different life when

We can at

Last walk together

SomeoneSomewhere (to Cris)

Somewhere isn’t as

Important as the

Someone I can

Live anywhere but

I can’t just

Love anyone so

I know that

When I find

My someone then

I’ll know where

My somewhere is
