And joy shaken

Me and garnished
With a slice
Of Heaven and
This morning’s sun
Slowly sipped through
Straws of hope
True beauty is
Found in simplicity
Smiles and snowflakes
Winks and wisdom
Rainbows and rollercoasters
Things that make
You wonder things
That celebrate that
One simple thing
Possessed by children
Forgotten by adults
Called hopeful curiosity
In a grove
At the end
Of a prairie
Two trees stand
Strong their limbs
Entwined like a
Lovers embrace catching
A secret kiss
Now in October
They take turns
Changing their calico
Canopies from green
To auburn chagrin
Knowing that their
Secret love has
Been captured here
