I awoke early
To sit outside
And listen to
The world awaken
First came birdsongs
Then the stirring
Of critters snapping
Twigs car tire
Sounds on pavement
And at long
Last the sun
A quiet time
This morning as
Day starts sleepily
In my town
I awoke early
To sit outside
And listen to
The world awaken
First came birdsongs
Then the stirring
Of critters snapping
Twigs car tire
Sounds on pavement
And at long
Last the sun
A quiet time
This morning as
Day starts sleepily
In my town
How do I
Remain cool so
As not to
Scare you off
I’m not a
Hunter stalking prey
Nor am I
A pointer rousing
Grouses but instead
Just a guy
Liking another guy
And there you
Were this tall
Glass of sparkling
Water that tickled
Me little bubbles
Popping on my
Nose making me
Laugh this freshness
That cleansed so
Many other meals
Making me forget
My heart full
Of heart ache
Your freshness made
Me believe that
A stranger could
Make me laugh
Again at last
Oh this is
Easy sometimes someone
Surrounds you they
Compliment you they
Can’t believe their
Own so they
Become something their
Own which is
Nothing with you
But
There’s no you
Without them because
Most of the
World are more
Interested in them
Then in me
It is said
That you stumble
Into love that
It catches you
As you fall
Awkwardly at life
Once tripping your
Outstretched arms held
Me helped me
Steadied me put
Me on my
Feet and walked
With me until
I walked alone
At which point
You then disappeared
Sometimes love appears
Like the hands
Of God when
We’re our worst
Making us better
I miss you
This best love
