I love this life
Of not knowing what
When who or why
Even the where isn’t
Exact it’s more gaseous
Usually experienced when young
But still always new
Even at my age
Through with the wars
I have abandoned my
Battlefields leaving behind the
Faceless and the known
And now as scars
Have healed but noticeable
Still I go anywhere
Where silence replaces guilt
That new place will
No longer scream victory
Or retreat or surrender
But something far less
Like oats whispering as
They shuffle in wind
Or willows that readjust
As the Autumn breeze
Catches each green finger
At last bringing comfort
I will find there
Knowing that the other
There is behind me
Well what do you
Know here we are
Category: Kindness
Rabbits
I allowed myself to
Trust others who knew
Knowing isn’t always better
For those who know
Don’t usually always understand
The mind is wicked
Corrupted tarnished and acidic
It twists things into
Unrecognizable reality it seduces
Like sirens promising better
But like rabbits promises
Elude they duck and
Dodge and scurry dropping
Out of sight leaving
The one chasing to
Wonder where’d it go
When in the wood
Stop chasing when in
The wood breathe when
You finally find yourself
In the wood remember
What was it that
You were chasing and
Then find it yourself
Stop chasing the rabbits
LikeDaffodils
The less that I
Insist that I am
The more that others
Show up the more
That I abandon what
I think and cross
Over to their side
And think a moment
Their way life opens
Like late winter daffodils
Stop being what you
Think that you are
And rather be who
They are looking for
Over there not here
Just like those crazy
Silly late winter flowers
ConsiderThis
And we think that
All we want is
Love but what about
Living this world promises
Like a horny teenager
To respect us in
The morning but with
Each morning comes their
Broken promises leaving me
To wonder just how
Dispensable does this world
Consider me to be
WisdomsOrchard
Wisdom I had asked
Why have you forgotten
I am still here
It’s you who has
Stopped listening to me
No I have asked
And yes I have
Answered but not the
Question that you asked
My son Wisdom said
The Universe is plump
With answers but like
A man that wanders
Into an orchard and
Picks the apple he
Wants you should start
Behaving like the owner
That harvests all fruits
And then decides which
Ones become one thing
Or another based not
Upon look but promise
