TheCostOfSomething

Sometimes enough is enough

While not absolutely perfect

Nearly is better than

Nothing so I thought

Yet some things close

Are better than sublime

Proximity does offer experience

Always better than dreams

Tactile tangibility weighs heavier

Than wispy fleeting fantasy

But with the reality

Of something been had

Comes with it responsibility

For having achieved such

Ideals are often free

Whereas people are not

SimpleDifference

What I need from

You more than anything

Is your hope that

We will be together

Some day some how

And eventually some where

Hope fuels my life

Without it we’re doomed

It’s the simple difference

Between waiting for life

To happen to us

Or making life happen

For us it’s the

Simple difference between our

Future and our destiny

We can wait for

One thing or chase

The other it’s the

Difference between living and

Simply waiting to die

These are the keys

To our owning happiness

RustyOl’Traps

Why do secrets hurt

Not just those that

We keep but those

Too that we share

Those that we keep

Gnaw from inside out

Those that we share

Are like rusty traps

Biting into those that

We love and often

Those that we love

Will chew off their

Own limbs to escape

Just be honest with

Me in the beginning

I will not judge

But if I’m ensnared

I will definitely flee

In order to survive

FarAway

You’re so far away

Now that all I’m

Left with is the

Lingering scent of your

Cologne on my shirt

That I longingly notice

As I turn to

Speak to other people

Causing me to be

Far away from them

Too and with you

There so far away

Gate

After years and years

Of walking the fence

Of my long life

I have finally arrived

At the gate a

Creaky old thing that

Barely hangs upon its

Own hinges that moans

When it is opened

And growls when closed

Whomever thought that putting

The gate over here

And not back yonder

Either was wickedly humorous

Or knew better for

This gate I found

Eventually found was me
