grumpy grunts

nor cranny 
said mouse
is cheese
just scraps
and bits
of paper 
and secrets
heart food 
hidden here 
not exactly 
enough for 
a mouse

I like vine
tree and root 
no longer depend
but rather find
and patiently discover 
burrowing deep leaving 
the surface waters 
to those reliant 
on the obvious 
in doing so 
anchor myself there
and drink from 
the pure spring 
my souls aquifer

Less light 
said the 
candle so
that I
might show 
the dark 
to my
friend room 
and we
can dance 
until day
when we 
both disappear 

I am nothing 
if not that
but that you

belongs to you 
for you found 
that little box
and others well
they found theirs

a decorated bush
