Potpourri

I’m a
hodge podge
mixed bag
a stew
a ratatouille
some this
some that
a little
bit extra
of everything
too spicy
to taste
too hot
to hold
best left
to simmer
and serve
when cold

Divinity

I can’t
imagine you
never could
never will
for you
I didn’t
know was
ever missing
what is
called a
thing never
lost yet
still found
a treasure
or just
some plain
old serendipity
maybe luck
or maybe
even divinity

TheKiss

It is
just this
a space
a moment
that’s stretched
the length
of eternity
a hesitation
a consideration
of uncertainty
a flood
of fears
an inch
then less
then touch
and everything
that was
wasn’t anymore
ever enough

Pause

Being here
you left
now wondering
do I
and it’s
that pause
that says
for before
had you
then I
would too

Journey

As my fingers
trail down the
crease that your
spine is I
imagine them being
a boat floating
on a river
or a leaf
on a stream
and as they
reach the sandbar
of your bottom
they moor there
and dig deep
into its land
feeling it quake
and move closer
I being one
place you another
