Pass

I no longer
defend or convince
but rather let
for everything will
as everything must
and I’ll sit
quietly and watch
I am there
and little else
and the rest
like I to
them don’t matter

Water

Peace is pervasive
this peace anyway
most like water
odorless colorless malleable
but never malevolent
it can quench
but also boil
often it quells
sometimes it questions
but like water
it always changes
and it cleanses
it can freeze
but always thaws
giving way to
lakes and streams
and rivers and
rains of happiness

Dust

It just is
and what was
well isn’t anymore
and so goes
this gay march
one thing being
then it’s not
stars in the
heavens have more
permanence than I
being just dust

Corner

One little lamp
in the corner
and I tucked
snugly beneath covers
lay here wondering
if the world
outside my windows
hear my silence
or if they
buzz about busily
taking little notice
oh well just
more for me
in these few
very delicate moments

Leave

Face forgive and
accept not according
to anything known
just listen to
your own words
for doesn’t the
tree listen to
the wind to
know when to
let leaves go
