Most avoid
yet want
others wait
often waiting
while others
charge headlong
miserably fail
then win
one can
want one
can wait
or one
can win

So long
as one
loves one
lives love
doesn’t have
to be
romantic for
love unlike
anything else
can’t smell
taste or
feel love
just loves

What started
as friends
has remained
as friends
though time
and distance
has taken
its toll
I know
how geese
do migrate
following honks
much like
laughter shared
with my
older now
old friends
ThatOneTime
One ornament
hanging low
dances quietly
catching light
from beside
and oh
I’m reminded
of you
too spinning
amongst revelers
one time
in Ibiza
doing little
more than
being happy
SleepSigh
I hear
you sigh
in sleep
I think
how can
someone be
so peaceful
that even
angels smile
