MorningStorm

Imagine if you will
we were laying together
here in my bed
listening to Satie or
Bach and against my
window we hear the
tap tapping of rain
as you turn to
me and I dot
and dash the same
code on your chest
my fingers becoming rain
and your body land
would you move closer
to the storm of
me or pull away
oh I think you
would inch inch inch
nearer and your laughter
would roll from your
lips like thunder claps
heralding love’s morning storm

Wait

There’s nothing wrong
except being listless
like a sail
lacking any wind
or weeping willows
absent of breeze
simply being here
waiting and waiting
for my purpose
like clouds gathering
on the horizon
I bring hope
of something else
of something new
of something different
but then when
when yet again
when once again
the first suggestion
or first memory
or first mention
of what happened
once before or
even many times
that which I
thought just might
never ever does
and I and
you sit waiting
waiting and waiting

Harmony

Harmony is
two different
things working
as one
sometimes notes
other times
maybe ideas
occasionally even
two things
which don’t
opposites can
when I
think about
you and
I I
feel harmony
even though
not seen
for you
and I
don’t appear
harmonious but
dissonantly different
and this
difference causes
a harmony
unheard of
ever before
and since

CanCannot

Maybe one day
someone will again
but even if
not I will
there are some
things I can’t
help while others
I often can
there are some
having no choice
others which do
I think that
I shall concentrate
on those I
cannot and let
those I can
to someone else

LittleWays

I write
for no
other reason
than because
I can
I love
for the
same reason
such marvelous
things these
two are
making differences
in such
little ways
