And like thunder
heard from some
far off place
I followed only
to find rain
and in this
I was cleansed
and upon its
clearing I was
at last enlightened

Connect
Oh and when
the string is
straightened and the
dots connected does
one truly understand
the blind trust
that the journeyman
placed in destiny
that he sees
that everything before
belongs to that
old life and
like the shedding
of fur and
molting of feathers
and discarding layer
after layer of
his previous life
can he stand
on strong legs
and declare with
full lungs of
fresh air you
haven’t won anything
for I have
Silence
Maybe silence
is just
as good
for doesn’t
winter snow
fall without
a sound
and yet
it changes
how much
we know
Ode
To be quiet
a delicious emptiness
of all things
soaking in a
bath of wandering
thoughts immersed in
candlelight’s own flame
of passive curiosity
to be nothing
and nowhere else
and everywhere else
all at the
very same time
oh the ode
to such a
very simple place
Kindness
Kindness is
little else
than the
threads of
one’s life
woven tightly
together to
create a
blanket in
which to
warm the
coldest hands
and hearts
