A picture

dusty woods 
standing like 
tall sentinels 
or umbrella 
sticks holding 
up the 
early morning 

I now find 
a great joy
cleaning my home 
I think it’s 
the combination of 
present to task 
and the discipline 
of the routine 
I have become 
my very own

In order to 
be grateful for 
what I will
have I needed 
to let go 
of what I 
once had and 
sit in the
now of nothing 

The beautiful thing 
about remaining curious 
is that you 
get to be 
new over again 
and not knowing 
how to do 
is often exciting 
to be young 
is to be 
curious and amazed 

It’s becoming 
difficult this
quiet saturation 
a drowning 
in satisfaction 
this almost 
nothing now 
normal new
