FireFly

Just when the

Darkness is deepest

The tiny firefly

Glows

Showing me the

Way to somewhere

Darkness creeps like

Nocturnal animals out

For the hunt

While despair grips

And squeezes out

Hope making the

Heart dusty dry

The one meaningless

Light blinking here

Come here here

And once again

Your life starts

Again not over

But freshly new

Morning7-6

Big long yellow

School buses drive

Past me roaring

Like a pride

Of lions on

The Serengeti warning

Of their approach

As ant-like children

Climb aboard like

Business men off

To work last

Nights crickets still

Chirp as morning

Birds await their

Cues here today

MorningEggs

Dawn rises slowly

Like the sleepy

Dreams tucked eyes

Of a child

Glowing the skies

Change from darkness

To orange like

Large fires stoked

Back to life

By sharp sticks

Morning comes slowly

Like eggs in

A skillet bubbling

Yellow white brown

SleepNow

And in the

Dark I sit

Waiting for the

World to awaken

You beside me

Still sleeping dreaming

What I wonder

Me awake wishing

You to stir

Like a spoon

In my coffee

But dare I

Not for you

Roar to life

Like a thundering

Chainsaw it’s best

To let you

Sleep like kittens

Morning

Oh the morning

Is blue blue

Blue blue like

A Robins next

Surrounded by green

Such colors like

The wet pallet

Of a fresh

Artist crisp like

Jelly beans everything

Is sweet today

Even my eyes

Having been blessed

By this glory
