Imagine all of humanity
as a single tree
Majestic and so strong
Standing there amidst furies
Now imagine splintering it
piece by piece by
piece so many pieces
of what was once
whole unified in tact
with one sole purpose
growth towards the sun
But now each splinter
having its own identity
and pervasive selfish purpose
has all but forgotten
what strength it had
when bound to others
choosing its weakness instead
God gave us similarities
We ripped us apart

Death
I have skirted death
more times than I
can count physical death
emotional death and spiritual
death and here’s what
I’ve learned about death
It’s just one door
in a hallway of
doors just one choice
made by the living
to stop their living
the way they do
Death isn’t the end
we think it is
Death is just one
more beginning the beginning
of the exact thing
we tried to avoid
that last shitty time
Welcome to your living
Now make it count
Heaven’sReminder
From my bedroom window
I see the lights of
Denver and while listening
to jazz I watch
the sky lighten dousing
the importance of the
nights skyline with this
breaking day as though
God Himself reminds us
that we may have
the night He will
always have the day
Wisdom
Holy cow I understand
Sometimes in life after
Many lives our Higher
Self descends to occupy
A human body this
Occurs on the second
To last lifetime of
A human host known
As spiritual transformation and
Is the last step
To eventual enlightenment and
I’d like to introduce
You all to me
My Higher Self Wisdom
Lamentations
Heavenly Father my Creator
I was not created
In Your divine image
I am woefully imperfect
Immoral and selfishly unjust
I take and accuse
Blame and turn away
From those in need
I don’t deserve forgiveness
I do deserve damnation
So why why do
You deny my desire
To exit this hellscape
And make my ethereal
Way to real Hell
Because He said you’re
Already there I put
The bottom beneath everything
For a simple reason
For everything looks like
Heaven from down there
