It was a hope
turned into a dream
that became a thing
and once it did
we found the other
side the slope that
slide and slid we
did down its slippery
and up we’d go
climbing the familiar stairs
to go down again
until I grew tired
of this childish game
go if you want
me I’m going home
enough for this heart
Paradise
There’s a dance
a rhythm a
tap tap tap
to this now
and I have
finally settled in
not of or
on but in
like a bear
or fox or
woodchuck I suppose
this isn’t winter
for me no
this is summer
let all of
other seasons come
for here I
live in paradise
Alone
It’s funny this
alone the lack
of lonely the
absence of need
time slows and
its hunger too
shifting sands of
desire sent to
sky by gusts
of lust turning
same to dust
and the must
turns to rust
in this place
I call peace
Miss
I don’t
miss for
what I
had is
mine and
no other
Dark
There is
this dark
which once
frightened me
that I
now call
friend for
it is
here where
I find
that I
am light
