Ignorant

If there’s one thing 
that I have learned 
in this long life
it is that you 
can’t argue with ignorant 
oh you can try 
just like you can 
try stopping a
spinning fan with fingers 
but a spinning fan 
will just continue spinning 
just as ignorant will 
just continue to rant 
and isn’t that the 
root of ignorant rant
leave them be in
the town square and 
howling at the moon
for the moon doesn’t 
have itself any ears
