I shall shoulder
the weight but
he will carry
the burden mine
I will put
down and be
free from it
but his is
that kind that
he will keep
all the way
through eternity for
he carries his
in his heart
Author: Harlan Didrickson
I first started writing this blog as a way to refocus my thinking after a debilitating mental breakdown in 2008. Having been educated in writing, I had hoped that my love for words would have left a trail for me to follow and, well, here we are.
Forever
A vast
emptiness a
nothing now
that only
the Universe
and all
its parts
can fill
a lack
of missing
for missing
implies had
once but
this once
has never
been nor
ever will
for this
once is
the forever
Do
It’s okay
to make
do when
all you
have to
make is
due but
after time
do doesn’t
do anymore
when it
happens to
come true
Skinny
Sometimes the skinny
branches that we
so tightly cling
to don’t keep
us from falling
but rather keep
us from flying
Pick
I don’t play
pick me up
whether it be
friends or lovers
or pieces of
things I leave
things where they
are have fallen
or run to
I go get
and move on
leaving them behind
my present is
the only place
to be found
