I warrior
you squire
I know
you feel
two men
who more
than ready
for battle
I no
longer feel
having scars
but you
feel each
and every
ding and
chink whincing
me spectacle
you spectator
each doing
his own
for life
Author: Harlan Didrickson
I first started writing this blog as a way to refocus my thinking after a debilitating mental breakdown in 2008. Having been educated in writing, I had hoped that my love for words would have left a trail for me to follow and, well, here we are.
Peace (for Bean)
I hope
that you
will find
the peace
that I
could never
give you
but that’s
what peace
was never
meant to
be coming
from me
all I
tried to
give you
was love
which you
never wanted
so your
peace you
can find
for yourself
Inn
I am
akin to
an inn
I can
provide shelter
some comfort
a place
to warm
but only
if you
find your
way here
you are
the traveler
and I
the stop
Twilight
Twilight is
my favorite
the city
slows the
lights dim
thoughts come
and go
like horses
on merry
go rounds
and quiet
takes hold
like whispers
waiting to
be answered
Another
I wish
I had
just one
for leaves
and raindrops
and even
snowflakes have
one another
as they
build becoming
something else
but me
I’m one
never anything
other will
be and
never another
for others
