I first started writing this blog as a way to refocus my thinking after a debilitating mental breakdown in 2008. Having been educated in writing, I had hoped that my love for words would have left a trail for me to follow and, well, here we are.
Rain
Why then
do people
complain why
knock upon
any door
upon which
they will
never enter
not because
it won’t
open but
because they
prefer to
stay in
the rain
barking at
clouds that
they’re wet

I’ve looked everywhere
I thought to
that it might
be but isn’t
everywhere it might’ve
that I might’ve
but it isn’t
just where can
one shoe go
where the other
one can’t don’t
two things similar
always stay together
I guess not
so now what
am I supposed
to do go
out and about
what’s a pair
when missing one
JustThat
One of
the hardest
things to
be is
just that
and never
give the
reason as
to why
just that
Rest
If you upon
weary need rest
here you will
find awaiting you
always a place
next to my
hearth upon which
to warm whenever
and a place
to safely sleep
and upon waking
food to eat
and someone who
will listen to
your stories of
travel triumph treasure
and yes even
your own tragedies
