Upon listening to Bach
I lament but also
wonder wondering about why
but more importantly what
what if anything will
come should someone too
Somewhere in Bach’s melodies
I find comfort somewhere
between the violins and
cellos I find breath
deep sighs and regret
taking me back to
when followed by what
and eventually facing why
Bach helps me heal
wounds long ago scabbed
and now just scarred

I first started writing this blog as a way to refocus my thinking after a debilitating mental breakdown in 2008. Having been educated in writing, I had hoped that my love for words would have left a trail for me to follow and, well, here we are.
Morning
Morning is a magical
time for me when
people and ghosts rest
it is eerily quiet
serene and peaceful before
everyone awakens and turns
calm into selfish scurrying
pursuit a great time
of intimacy and exposure
when all of us
whether lion or mouse
stirs moves and ambles
shaking off the dust
of our dreams before
PatienceFriend
Patience is the difference
between success and failure
oftentimes it’s the gap
between quitting and triumph
it’s the place of
promise and the wayside
of hope patience keeps
the sputtering stalling
dream alive and airborne
patience calms excitement down
gives pause and respite
to anxious reactions patience
fills the pockets on
one side of the
courageous whilst trust fills
the other balancing them
Desire
I’m not exactly sure
which comes first the
shiver or the touch
for a shiver only
occurs when the touch
is desired oh sure
goosebumps occur after but
the hope sets up
the touch just like
the listening sets up
the joke and hunger
sets up the eating
shivers happen after desire
Happy
And then just when
when I thought never
never again will I
I ever meet someone
someone came into my
my life and made
made my life different
different and better so
I let him and
and I was happy
happy again happy happy
