MoonBean

You have become
my moon sometimes
bright and full
other times just
a sliver and
once a month
dark and gone
but I suppose
it’s still good
to have a
moon orbiting around
for it makes
this planet less
cold and lonely

Rain

You’ve become
the exception
not rule
your choice
not mine
feel free
to stay
away as
long as
you like
for I’m
more comfortable
with you
gone than
ever here
you are
the rain
and not
the sun

Moon

Father away
than far
for near
with silence
is as
close as
the moon
what’s such
a thing
that ventures
so close
filling one
with awe
then moves
quietly away
with nary
a care
oh yes
the moon
you are

IYouWeUs

I warrior
you squire
I know
you feel
two men
who more
than ready
for battle
I no
longer feel
having scars
but you
feel each
and every
ding and
chink whincing
me spectacle
you spectator
each doing
his own
for life

Wakey (for Bean)

Sleep still
tucked in
behind eyes
thick thought
cleaved by
morning routine
just do
don’t think
days wit
will come
bringing desires
morning kiss
