the reason why 
so many spend
so much time
in our minds
is because we’ve 
lost the way

and why many 
now believe that 
it has been 
lying to us 
our innocence lost

are of
the world 
and few

for it
people have 
good intentions 
but few 
are ever 
for the 
greater good 
if you 
see yourself 
in anything 
that you 
wish to 
do or 
wish to 
have or
wish to 
be then
you are
most and
not few

One simple note 
upon the next 
a melody you 
slow and measured 
you glide across 
and fingers dance 
up and down 
knowing right where 
always to land 
and the silence 
at the end 
and its haunting 
missing of knowing 
once there was 
and no more 

A shy voice 
never will know 
the lazy
never ask
only those who are
committed to their curiosity 
will ever 
know truth 
ask your questions 
be silent tomorrow
