I no longer 
hear the noise 
of my trying 
I hear now 
a quiet heartbeat 
a deep sigh 
the wind winding 
past my windows 
bed linen sshing 
like late night 
ice skaters on
quiet ponds as
you slowly turn 
these are things 
that I hear
having once wanted 
and now found 

You can have 
what you want 
the problem is 
most people wish
few people work 
why quit trying 
when trying is
the only way
to achieving anything 
expect to fail 
embrace your failures 
in fact plan 
on your failures 
enjoy them regardless 
remember it’s never 
about the destination 
but the marvelous 
adventure of getting 
there 

Free from 
chains of 
suffering despair 
my heart 
once lonely 
once filled 
then broken 
now empty 
I can 
fill it 
but rather 
I’ll let
others drink 
for I
am no 
longer parched 
having once 
been quenched 
that’s enough 

All I do
now is write
love laugh live 
I breathe them 
and be them
and when upon
my pillow I 
rest my head 
at night I
know that I 
am blessed for 
I have fulfilled 
my Creator’s purpose 

I know now
that we two 
are together one 
though years and 
miles and life 
keeps us apart 
I also know 
that despite that
we live one 
life in two 
very different places 
two different ways 
one single purpose
