StonesAndBreadcrumbs

On every single path

There’s stones and breadcrumbs

Having been left before

Behind by something other

Always leading never alone

And on we go

Never knowing always wondering

Until finally at last

We eventually get there

Wherever there that is

Only we will know

DarkRoom

Some of us know

We know where things

Go will go and

Have gone we’ve either

Been this way before

Or stumbled through this

Dark room stubbing toes

Yet each one is

Whether person or problem

Different diverse and complex

As though someone has

Rearranged all the furniture

Without telling a soul

Fools

I’ll make this short

I know that love

Is folly but I’d

Rather be a fool

Who is in love

Than a wise man

Without foolishness is enviable

Whereas wisdom remains alone

AutumnAgain

There’s something about fall

That brings such comfort

Brilliant colors and awe

Trees exploding like fireworks

That last for days

Of layers put on

And eventually taken off

Like the armor we

Wear before meeting someone

And the nakedness after

Of once cold drinks

Migrating to warmer ones

While anticipating the holidays

We live in such

A fast world that

Autumn slows down reminding

That change brings beauty

LoverSeason 🍂🫂

Fall fell today

Time to change

To huddle cuddling

Of weathers sweaters

Of twinkling piano

Lazily wafting overhead

Overheard above crackling

And spitting fires

Swooning and sweeping

Orange and red

Across the room

And whiskey neat

As we’re given

Another good reason

To move closer

Together as though

We need one
