Like a dog
whose still waiting
for the boy
on the bus
to arrive home
so I sit
not only waiting
for the words
but also love
with each passing
sound or hello
I begin wagging
but remain watching
now wholly uncertain
if wait wait
no just another
wanting something else
and just another
car oh well
so I sit
waiting for Timmy

VeryJazz
There is just
something about jazz
right before the
night breaks into
the day the
snare of your
heart beating slowly
the cymbals of
your eyes as
they slowly open
the bass of
your tummy as
it rises falls
and those smooth
piano keys of
your ribs which
emit a squeal
when played upon
you are my
very own very
early very jazz
Kwan’sFarm
And a young
friend has a
dream of owning
his own farm
a few acres
some sheep and
a bunch of
chickens rows and
rows of vegetables
and the guarantee
of peace and
this I think
after all of
that is what
I imagine Heaven
to be like
at least here
before I hopefully
will get there
RePurposed
Pulling myself together
side to side
trying to meet
end to end
I finally admit
that I am
a winter coat
bought thirty pounds
ago and while
still stylish will
simply never fit
this my love
is now us
we once did
fit that is
we’re both now
to each other
something that just
barely ever will
unless one or
both of us
gets given away
to someone else
LetLove
I have found
that when it
comes to relationships
that I never
find who I’m
looking for but
rather I find
who I didn’t
know I needed
and this serendipity
is what causes
I think love
all too often
we can’t see
that which others
can because we
spend far too
much time convincing
ourselves the opposite
