Billiards

I feel like

A billiard game

Setup and broke

Apart by ones

That look like

Me but have

Selfish purpose it

Aims and collides

Sending me sailing

Off others and

Out of play

Until all of

Me is spent

Then I’m silent

The game over

Then at once

Racked up again

And sent careening

Just like meteors

Magnets

You live life

I live mine

Circling like magnets

Some times opposed

Other times attracted

We dance there

Never ever sure

What the other

Will certainly do

Careless and carefree

Two of us

Here in space

Monkey (to Bean)

One of my

Favorite things is

You as child

Monkey they called

You not because

You resembled one

But because you

Scaled trees there

You’ve always been

The monkey to

My gorilla just

A couple of

Primates that people

Admire in public

JustTheLove

And in darkness

Your voice bleeds

Memories of past

Laughter and ache

Sometimes someone does

Get in to

Even the hardest

Heart cold after

Years of betrayal

Here let me

Lift your spirit

To love again

Don’t be afraid

Of the heartbreak

Because the heart

Knows no pain

Bear (to Bean)

And like a

Hibernating bear we

Once again awakened

From the sleep

Renewed we stretched

And yawned once

Again searching for

The honey and

Berries of each

Other a new

Season of adventure

We waddled out

And squinted at

The future we

Are our friendship

Is like that
