Heads turned
to the other
eyes lazy
and smiles
easy.

Sheets
tucked
and twisted
a chinese
finger puzzle
three feet
poke from
beneath.

Our hands
twine like yarn,
I lean, a windy
tree, into you;
Velveteen lips
part and tongues
meet
this morning.

They
lie buried
under a
shallow sheath
fluttering
skin.

Staring
at me, their
azure and chocolate
emerald and pony
so close
they’re globes
of everywhere.
