Priorities dictated 
but the
days of
do are
now over
the bricks
have been
laid and
timbers erected
it’s time
to add
those things
that make
a place
a home

be it prose
poetry or plays
knows just where
what and how
to touch it
some sing and
some say and
some explain it
all away but
the end is
never the same

One cup two 
should do to
shoo away blues
gaining a smooch
from my favorite
you know who
start the day
lovely and gay
and wave away
gloomy and gray
let the sun
warm your buns
and gimme some
of summer’s luvin

Like eyes veiled
behind dark glasses
the bluest sky
breaks quietly through
the curtain cracks
winking at me
with each passing
cloud floating by
hey there handsome
how’s that coffee
