Dawn

The sky begins

To glow like

A child’s face

Spying upon presents

Early morning stars

Begin to disappear

Like Autumnal leaves

Leaving the trees

Barren ready for

Winter cars zoom

By with workers

Off to jobs

Like paper boys

Delivering the daily

News this early

Wishing

I spy a

Star no wait

It doesn’t twinkle

It could be

The space station

But upon it

Cannot I still

Wish oh astronauts

Make my wish

Come true bring

Me a man

Here on earth

Upon to love

Wandering

Unable to sleep

I wander through

The darkness wondering

Like a child

Lost far from

Home what this

Day will bring

Faeries or monsters

On I plod

Uncertain of steps

But knowing that

Each on brings

Me closer to

The place that

I call home

Goldfish

The day awakens

And like little

Ants people begin

To scurry about

Most just walking

A few running

But me I

Drink my coffee

And observe the

World around me

Like a goldfish

In a bowl

HappyMorning

Happy day for

No reason really

Happy to see

The nighttime bugs

Swirl and dance

Around a streetlight

Like teenage sock

Hoppers around the

Chuck Barry sound

Happy to feel

The nighttime dampness

About to dry

Into another plantation

Hot week day

Happy to hear

Cars approach quietly

Like curious cats

Then speed by

Their headlights creating

Ghouls on streets

Happy for everything

Just plain happy
