There’s something about 
someone who brings 
his smile to
yours a generosity 
of heart and 
comfort of mind 
it’s then when 
the soul giggles 
there’s something about 
someone who brings 
his eyes to 
yours a saturation 
of knowledge and 
a depth of 
curiosity this combined 
is what I 
both remember and 
look forward to 

He leaves today 
but never gone 
still sleeping likely 
dreaming of home 
we did try
to build something 
together once but 
we each had 
work to do 
on our selves 
separately it is 
so rare this
coming back again 
stronger than ever 
forgiving the past
planning the future 

I hate goodbyes 
and see you 
soons aren’t better 
they just pluck
my heartstrings which
I thought were
out of tune 
but with him
they just sing
and now I’m
beginning to think 
that just maybe 
he’s one of
