I wolf
caught in
a trap
which sprung
and now
to choose
keep myself
whole and
at mercy
of those
who might
find me
or gnaw
off that
part now
belonging to
he who
set this
for him
Category: Meditation
After
I we
remain like
what’s seen
at the
cups bottom
after pot
is empty
tastes shadow
enjoyments shade
and now
the bitter
aftertaste of
a life
once lived
finally laid
to rest
Lament
This music
it haunts
wafts eerily
reminds me
and plucks
no longer
pleases pleasing
but playing
and not
happy memories
that sing
but those
that hum
having once
known lyrics
but now
just dog
eared and
yellow curled
corner pictures
of old
love gone
Bus
The morning moon
hangs barely above
mountains like the
pendulum of clock
forgotten to wind
and in stillness
it simply waits
for the day
bus to arrive
Cup
Oh that’s good
oh that’s better
a cuppa you
sometimes hot sometimes
cold sometimes iced
the same flavor
sweet rich dark
with hovering and
then swimming cream
that blends slowly
like a soloist
who joins the
rest of the
chorus once her
part is over
