Sinking

I have simply not 
not been this and
not been that but 
one of the many 
things that I’m not 
is inspired my life 
has taken on water 
no longer buoyant now 
only half of what 
it was when I 
first set sail having 
given way to the 
very thing that I 
thought was my ally
