Thread

It takes strength to 
not fit in to
stand apart from the 
rest to know that 
by removing oneself from 
the fray that you 
will be but a
thread and never a 
garment being a garment 
is nice looked at 
tried on bought and 
worn and then discarded 
for the next garment 
Oh but being a 
thread allows you freedom 
never woven never worn 
never had and never 
made old and forgotten 
I want to be 
forever a thread I
want my beginning and 
my end I want 
to find my needle 
and there my dance 
being important to him
