LittleLightningBugs

Lordy even a lightning 
bug knows what it 
wants as it bobs 
and bounces around my 
garden glowing and calling 
so why’s it so 
hard for people to 
know maybe this mass
of gray matter that 
we laud above all 
of the other beasts 
is not nearly as 
wowing as we’ve been 
led to believe oh
let everyone just turn 
into little lightning bugs
filling gardens with light
for those little candles 
shed more light on
how to live life 
than reasonable humans do
