Reborn

And now after 
all of this 
what I want 
more than anything 
is to awaken 
just that awaken 
to this life 
this life that’s 
mine mine only 
having shed others 
who have before 
I had worn
thinking they’d protected 
me from life 
but rather than 
protect they kept 
me from it
now I sleep 
naked as I 
did before all
