It takes effort 
to turn even
the smallest boat
imagine yourself as
that a boat
gliding gently through 
sometimes calm waters 
sometimes greater swells 
it takes time 
to change course 
but more importantly 
it takes discipline 
if you want 
change in life 
do one of
two simple things 
remove the oars
and simply drift
you’ll get somewhere 
not by choice 
but by chance 
or dig deeper 
and shoulder down 
taking your aim
at exactly where
