Ready

I am now 
ready to receive 
having already done 
the hardest work 
as though I’ve 
traveled many miles 
or maybe none 
for distance isn’t 
the measure and 
neither is time 
for neither exists
when it comes 
to the soul
I am now 
ready to receive 
being now empty
ready to fill
and finally overflow
