Humanity now 
seems to 
be so
petty that
even the 
virtues weep
what has 
become of 
patience humility 
truth love 
kindness and 
gratitude what
might have 
bored deeply 
and hollowed 
such beauty 
into corpses 
it is 
time then
to forget 
and place 
our attention 
on animals 
and let 
them take 
back what
