Negativity

Negativity is a siren 
a seductress a magnet 
and a well laid
trap that once sprung 
is impossible to free
it is very tempting 
to have just one 
or do just one 
or try just one 
but negativity being 
negative can never be 
positive no matter how 
much or how long 
or how quickly even
you try to convince 
yourself otherwise steer clear 
of that orbit unless 
you find yourself first
for while negativity appears 
bright as the sun 
it destroys quickly too
