Heal

Trust is something 
I have little 
of it once 
been a log
at its start 
but now it’s 
been whittled down 
to the tiniest 
of slivers stuck 
into my thumb 
festering it too 
the last of
that once mighty
tree will be 
removed and I
left with nothing 
but a wound 
left to heal
