are Petri dishes 
toxic little environments 
in which then
introduce predators and 
bullies as bacteria 
and when one 
someone like me 
comes in and 
tries to defend 
I’m thrown over 
the wall excommunicado 
for just trying 
to bring back 
civility and respect 
to the tar
pits so many 
see as salvation
