Awake

I hear
don’t see
city awake 
I imagine 
the ocean 
this sound
lapping upon
some shore 
knowing that 
it is 
concrete and 
steel and 
rubber and 
all things 
man and 
nothing natural 
so sad
that this 
replaced that
